In 2004, Blancpain unveiled the Equation du Temps Marchante, the first wristwatch to feature a running equation complication previously reserved for pocket watches and clocks. Using a specialized differential and the caliber 3863, the watch displays both a running equation hand and a plus/minus scale, complemented by a perpetual calendar and retrograde moon phase. This limited edition of 88 pieces, reference 6638-3431-55B, is housed in a platinum case with a grand feu enamel dial and features hand-carved bridges and a sun-engraved rotor.
