Debuting in 1967 as IWC's inaugural diver, the Aquatimer reference 812 AD utilized a 'Super Compressor' case design characterized by dual crowns and a rotating bezel. Rated for water resistance up to 200 meters, it operated on the IWC caliber 8541 movement. During the early 1970s, the reference 812 AD (Automatic/Date) was redesignated as the 1812.
