In 1986, IWC debuted its inaugural ceramic-cased wristwatch, the Da Vinci Ceramic ref. 3755, followed eight years later by the Schaffhausen manufacturer's first Pilot's Chronograph in the same material, the ref. 3705. While the former remains largely overlooked, the 39mm zirconium oxide Pilot's Chronograph has achieved cult status, featuring contrasting stainless steel pushers and crown at a 50% premium over its steel sibling. Available configurations include German (IW3705-01/05), Italian (IW3705-02/06), English (IW3705-03/07), and French (IW3705-04/08) date discs, with models 05-08 featuring stainless steel bracelets.
