Produced from roughly 1996 to 2005, the IWC Pilot's Watch Doppelchronograph ref. 3713 was the second IWC pilot timepiece to include a split-second chronograph. It was crafted in stainless steel, platinum, or yellow gold with various dial designs and multilingual day-discs, with the stainless steel version offered on a strap or bracelet and five platinum pieces featuring bracelets. Starting in 2003, the 3713 transitioned to exclusively Spitfire-style dials; reference IW3713-07 is finished with a stainless steel case and a black dial.
