The IWC Pilot's Watch Doppelchronograph ref. 3713, produced from about 1996 to 2005, was the second pilot's watch from IWC to incorporate a split-second chronograph. Available in stainless steel, yellow gold, or platinum with multiple dial choices and day-discs in various languages, the stainless steel variant came on a bracelet or strap, and five platinum units were made with bracelets. From 2003, the 3713 was provided only with Spitfire-style dials; reference IW3713-08 is presented with a stainless steel case and a black dial.
