Created between approximately 1996 and 2005, the IWC Pilot's Watch Doppelchronograph ref. 3713 was IWC's second pilot's watch to utilize a split-second chronograph. The model was manufactured in stainless steel, yellow gold, or platinum with a range of dials and multilingual day-discs, with the stainless steel version offered on a strap or bracelet and five platinum pieces on bracelets. After 2003, the 3713 featured exclusively Spitfire-style dials; reference IW3713-09 consists of a yellow gold case and a white dial.
