The IWC Pilot's Watch Doppelchronograph ref. 3713, produced from about 1996 until 2005, was the second pilot watch from the manufacturer to include a split-second chronograph. It was crafted in stainless steel, yellow gold, or platinum with multiple dial and day-disc variants; steel models were sold on straps or bracelets, and only five platinum pieces were made with bracelets. Following 2003, the 3713 was sold only with Spitfire-style dials; reference IW3713-20 features a black dial and a stainless steel case.
