In production from roughly 1996 to 2005, the IWC Pilot's Watch Doppelchronograph ref. 3713 was the second pilot watch in IWC's lineup to feature a split-second chronograph. It was released in platinum, yellow gold, or stainless steel with assorted dials and day-discs, with steel versions available on bracelets or straps and only five platinum pieces featuring bracelets. After 2003, the 3713 was exclusively equipped with Spitfire-style dials; reference IW3713-22 is finished with a platinum case and a blue dial.
