Spanning production from about 1996 to 2005, the IWC Pilot's Watch Doppelchronograph ref. 3713 was the second of the brand's pilot watches to feature a split-second chronograph. Available in yellow gold, platinum, or stainless steel with various dial and day-disc options, the steel version came on a strap or bracelet, while only five platinum models were made with bracelets. After 2003, the 3713 was sold solely with Spitfire-style dials; reference IW3713-23 features a platinum case and a blue dial.
