Running from approximately 1996 to 2005, the IWC Pilot's Watch Doppelchronograph ref. 3713 was the second pilot's watch from the brand to feature a split-second chronograph. It came in stainless steel, yellow gold, or platinum, with various dial choices and multilingual day-discs. While the steel version had strap or bracelet options, five platinum pieces were bracelet-fitted; beginning in 2003, only Spitfire-style dials were offered. Reference IW3713-27 includes a yellow gold case and a white dial.
