The IWC Pilot's Watch Doppelchronograph ref. 3713 was manufactured from circa 1996 to 2005 as the second pilot watch from the brand to feature a split-second chronograph. It was offered in stainless steel, platinum, or yellow gold with various dial and day-disc language options, with the steel version available on a strap or bracelet and a limited run of five platinum pieces on bracelets. From 2003, the series transitioned to Spitfire-style dials, including the ref. IW3713-34, which features a stainless steel case and a black 'Spitfire' dial.
