The IWC Pilot's Watch Doppelchronograph ref. 3713, produced from roughly 1996 to 2005, was the second pilot's watch from IWC to incorporate a split-second chronograph function. It was sold in yellow gold, stainless steel, or platinum, featuring various dial styles and day-discs in multiple languages; the steel model offered strap or bracelet options, and the platinum version included five bracelet-fitted examples. From 2003, the 3713 shifted exclusively to Spitfire-style dials, including the ref. IW3713-37 with a stainless steel case and black Spitfire dial.
