Produced between roughly 1996 and 2005, the IWC Pilot's Watch Doppelchronograph ref. 3713 serves as the second pilot's watch from the manufacturer to include a split-second chronograph. Available in platinum, yellow gold, or stainless steel with various dial designs and multilingual day-discs, the steel variant came on a bracelet or strap, while five platinum pieces were crafted with bracelets. Starting in 2003, the 3713 was restricted to Spitfire-style dials, exemplified by the ref. IW3713-38 with a stainless steel case and black Spitfire dial.
