Spanning production from approximately 1996 to 2005, the IWC Pilot's Watch Doppelchronograph ref. 3713 was the second pilot model from IWC to feature a split-second chronograph. Clients could choose from stainless steel, yellow gold, or platinum, with various dial configurations and multilingual day-discs; the steel model featured strap or bracelet options, and the platinum version saw five bracelet-fitted units. Following 2003, the 3713 was produced only with Spitfire-style dials, such as the ref. IW3713-39, which features a stainless steel case and black Spitfire dial.
