Produced from roughly 1996 through 2005, the IWC Pilot's Watch Doppelchronograph ref. 3713 stands as the second pilot timepiece from IWC to feature a split-second chronograph. Available in stainless steel, platinum, or yellow gold with various dial configurations and multilingual day-discs, the steel version offered both bracelet and strap options, whereas five platinum units were produced with bracelets. Following 2003, the 3713 was sold solely with Spitfire-type dials, such as the stainless steel ref. IW3713-43 featuring a silver 'Spitfire' dial.
