Spanning production from approximately 1996 to 2005, the IWC Pilot's Watch Doppelchronograph ref. 3713 serves as the second IWC pilot watch to utilize a split-second chronograph. The watch was released in stainless steel, platinum, or yellow gold with assorted dials and language-specific day-discs, with steel models on bracelets or straps and five platinum versions on bracelets. From 2003, the 3713 was limited to Spitfire-type dials, including the stainless steel ref. IW3713-45 which features a silver 'Spitfire' dial.
