In production between circa 1996 and 2005, the IWC Pilot's Watch Doppelchronograph ref. 3713 is the second IWC pilot watch to feature a split-second chronograph. It was issued in stainless steel, yellow gold, or platinum with various dial and day-disc options, with steel models on straps or bracelets and five platinum examples on bracelets. Beginning in 2003, the 3713 exclusively used Spitfire-style dials, such as the stainless steel ref. IW3713-46 with its silver 'Spitfire' dial.
