Built from approximately 1996 to 2005, the IWC Pilot's Watch Doppelchronograph ref. 3713 is the second IWC pilot watch to be equipped with a split-second chronograph. It was available in stainless steel, platinum, or yellow gold with different dials and multilingual day-discs, with steel versions on bracelets or straps and five platinum pieces produced on bracelets. From 2003 onwards, the 3713 was offered only with Spitfire-style dials, including the stainless steel ref. IW3713-47 with a silver 'Spitfire' dial.
