Produced from roughly 1996 to 2005, the IWC Pilot's Watch Doppelchronograph ref. 3713 was the second pilot's timepiece from the brand to feature a split-second chronograph. The watch came in platinum, yellow gold, or stainless steel with varied dial and day-disc language configurations, transitioning to exclusively Spitfire-style dials in 2003. Reference IW3713-49 is crafted with a stainless steel case and a silver 'Spitfire' dial.
