The IWC Portugieser 3714 was released in 1998 as a more accessible alternative to the 3712 split-seconds. Its 40.9mm case contained the automatic caliber 79240 until 2007, when it was replaced by the 79350. The IW3714-47 model combines a stainless steel case with a black dial.
