Launched in 2004, the IWC Portugieser 5001 features a 42.3mm case containing a self-winding movement with a power reserve at 3 o'clock, date at 6 o'clock, and small seconds at 9 o'clock. While early units ran on the 50010 caliber, newer versions adopted the 51010 or 51011. The stainless steel IW5001-14 with a silver dial joined the lineup in 2009.
