The Longines Avigation revives a 1949 British army watch, its name combining 'aviation' and 'navigation' from a 1920s navigation system. Its 44mm steel case (same as the original) houses the L704 automatic calibre showing hours, minutes, seconds, date and a second time-scale, shielded from magnetism by a soft iron plate and dome. The black dial has large white numerals, a red 24-hour scale, rhodium-plated stick hands and a red lozenge hand, all with Super-LumiNova, plus a broad arrow mark; it comes on a black alligator strap.
