In 1948, the year London hosted the Olympics, the first Omega Seamaster appeared. To mark the 2012 Games, OMEGA launched the Seamaster 1948 Co-Axial 'London 2012' Limited Edition, introduced exactly one year before the London Opening Ceremony. It has a stainless steel case, with the 'yellow gold' referenced in materials actually being the medallion on the back, and is limited to 1948 units.
