Introduced in 2003, the Aqua Terra Railmaster (ref. 2802.52.37) honors the late-1950s Railmaster, featuring a 41mm steel case and brown alligator strap. The original Railmaster, launched in 1957—the same year as the Speedmaster—as the successor to a 1953 RAF watch, was designed for scientists, technicians, electricians and railway workers, or anyone working near strong electric currents; it used a double antimagnetic case: an outer Staybrite steel case with polished bevelled bezel, solid enveloping lugs, reinforced crystal and screw-in back with O-ring gasket, plus an inner protective cap, casing ring, and 1mm-thick soft-iron dial (standard 0.4mm) that shielded against over 900 Oersted in any position, versus 60 Oersted for conventional antimagnetic watches.
