Introduced in 2024, the OMEGA Speedmaster First OMEGA in Space 310.32.40.50.06.001 is a modern take on the CK 2998 worn by Wally Schirra during Sigma 7 (October 3, 1962), the first OMEGA ever in space: it has a symmetrical 39.7 mm stainless-steel case (polished and brushed) inspired by the 1959 second-generation Speedmaster, a black aluminium bezel with a tachymeter dot-over-ninety, and a black grained-calf leather strap with a stainless-steel pin buckle. Under a hesalite-like sapphire crystal with internal AR, a CVD-coated grey-blue dial (like certain 1960s CK 2998s) features Alpha-style hands and applied markers filled with vintage Super-LumiNova, a white-varnished central chronograph hand, subdials at 3/6/9, and vintage OMEGA logos; the solid caseback has a Seahorse medallion and is engraved with 'THE FIRST OMEGA IN SPACE' and 'OCTOBER 3, 1962.' Power comes from the manually wound Calibre 3861, a METAS-certified Co-Axial Master Chronometer with about 50 hours of reserve.
