The CK2915 is the original Speedmaster launched in 1957, aimed at (aspiring) race car drivers and the first watch to have a tachymeter scale on its bezel rather than printed on the dial. The CK2915-1 (like the CK2915-2) still had a straight lug case without crown protection, an engraved stainless steel bezel, and 'Broad Arrow' hands, as the design had not yet reached its final form. Over the following decades, it became one of the most significant and enduring icons in watchmaking.
