Reportedly based on a 1940s Panerai officer's watch prototype, the PAM 008 Mare Nostrum is similar to the pre-Vendome 5218-301A models but bears a reference number per Vendome/Richemont era practice. It has a black dial, while the PAM 007 is white and the PAM 006 is blue. The caliber 2801, with a Dubois-Depraz chronograph module (3127), functions as a chronograph.
