Launched in 2026 during LVMH Watch Week in Milan, the Carrera Split-Seconds Chronograph CDD2180.FT8120 is the first rattrapante in the Carrera line, pairing the modern 'glassbox' architecture with a split-seconds movement co-developed with Vaucher Manufacture Fleurier. The grade-5 titanium case is 42mm with fine-brushed and polished surfaces, retains the faceted lugs, has elongated pushers at 2 and 4 and a split-seconds pusher at 9, is topped by a domed sapphire crystal extending over the rehaut, and is water-resistant to 30m; the translucent sapphire dial reveals the movement, with a curved tachymeter flange, three sapphire subdials (60-minute at 3, 12-hour at 9, running seconds at 6), rhodium-plated curved markers and open-worked hands with white Super-LumiNova, while the central chrono hand is white lacquered and the split-seconds hand is red lacquered. Inside ticks the automatic calibre TH81-01 split-seconds movement beating at 5 Hz, built from over 350 components, offering about 65 hours of power reserve (55 with chronograph running), manufactured in grade-5 titanium with hand finishing including black polishing, hand-beveling, an engraved chequered-flag motif and an oscillating weight shaped as the TAG Heuer shield; it is visible through the sapphire case back, and the watch comes on a black rubber strap with red stitching and a titanium folding clasp.
