The Vacheron Constantin Métiers d'Art Copernicus Celestial Spheres debuted in three variations at SIHH 2017. Drawing inspiration from Nicolas Copernicus, the watch utilizes a proprietary movement to display a heliocentric view of the sky. Two triangular hands mark the time on the dial periphery, while the center depicts Earth orbiting the Sun in 365.2421898 days and rotating on its axis every 24 hours. Housed in a 43mm by 12.9mm white gold case, each version features a dial inspired by Andreas Cellarius's 'Harmonia Macrocosmica' using distinct artistic techniques including Grand Feu enamel, hand-engraving, and laser-etched sapphire.
