The IWC-produced 94800 calibre, part of the 94000-calibre series, is a manual-wind movement equipped with a tourbillon escapement. It incorporates a patented constant force mechanism within the tourbillon to maintain balance amplitude stability, evidenced by the tourbillon's 1-second increments; after 48 hours, the mechanism disengages, causing the tourbillon to advance in standard 1/5th-second steps. This movement also provides a 96-hour power reserve, a day/night indicator, and a double moonphase display.
