As one of the earliest hybrid analog-digital movements, it utilizes two distinct mechanisms driven by a single quartz resonator, earning the 'Albatros' nickname from its specific battery clamp design. The digital readout functions as a timer or running seconds display, while the analog section features a crown-actuated minute hand and an independently adjustable hour hand; this movement was exclusively featured in the 1976 Montreal Olympics Chrono-Quartz.
