The P.2003 represents the inaugural automatic movement fully conceived and produced by the Officine Panerai Manufacture in Neuchâtel. This technically sophisticated calibre features a 10-day power reserve shown via a linear dial indicator, comprising 296 parts, 25 jewels, and measuring 13¾ lignes by 8 mm thick. It retains the P.2000 series hallmarks—including a free-sprung balance, 28,800 vph, three barrels, GMT with 24-hour display, rapid local time adjustment, date, and seconds reset—while adding automatic bidirectional winding via a ball-bearing rotor.
